On October 14, 2025, Ringette BC shared a memo about an update to the 3-Goal Rule for the U12 Division. The 3-Goal Rule sets parameters around the number of goals an individual player can have in a game, with the purpose being to encourage team play.
Tonight at its board meeting, the LMRL decided to maintain the 3-Goal Rule for all teams in the U12 Division (both A and B teams).
This means that while players can score more than 3 goals in Ringette BC sanctioned tournaments and the U12 Year End Event, the 3-Goal Rule still applies to all U12 teams (both A and B teams) while playing in official LMRL league games. The LMRL policy manual will be updated in due course.
