RAMP Gamesheets

RAMP GameSheets

This season, the LMRL is rolling out RAMP GameSheets for the Lower Mainland Ringette League.

  • GameSheets is currently used in addition to the the official paper scoresheet. This may change in the future.
  • Scores and stats generated from GameSheets will be entered directly into the league's database from your device either during the game, or once its completed.

How RAMP GameSheets works

The LMRL will email each team's representative a unique login and password to the LMRL RAMP website.

  • See your team code, and individual game sheet codes.
  • Add information about your players (like position or hometown).
  • Choose to display, or hide, team staff contact information.

Team Managers:

  • Download the RAMP GameSheets App.
  • Create your RAMP GameSheets App user account and login,
  • Enter your Team Code (note this is different than "GameSheet Code"). Wait about 5 minutes and all your league games should load. Future games auto-populate as they get scheduled.
  • Use the "Home" or "Visitor" GameSheet to update your roster and sign the game sheet before each game.

Scorekeepers:

  • Scorekeepers should download the RAMP GameSheets App prior to the game.
  • Your manager will supply the Scorekeeper with the GameSheet code for the game they are scorekeeping for.
  • Ender the GameSheet code into the app on your device.
  • Once the game is complete, mark it as complete.

How RAMP GameSheets App will be used

  • Teams will document athletes playing in games and track affiliate players (APs) and call-ups.
  • Scorekeepers will use the app to record goals and penalties.
  • Officials use it to make notes and to sign off on a game.

Once a GameSheet is marked "complete" and verified, it will automatically be sent to the league and added to standings on the LMRL website.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How can I see and adjust previous games in my RAMP team account?

To view and adjust past games, enter your RAMP team website using your team login and password. Navigate to "League Games" and then be sure to adjust the "Start" date in order for previous games to appear. The default setting it to show games using today's date.

2. Does changing my roster on RAMP affect my team's official Ringette BC roster?

Rosters on the LMRL website are synced to your association's RAMP registration system. Rosters entered by association registrars will appear on the LMRL website. However, the syncing process is one-way, meaning that the registrar can adjust information that will appear on the LMRL website, but not the other way around. So while coaches and managers can add or adjust their roster on the LMRL website, changes are not reflected on the official team roster managed under the authority of association registrars. This is important to know because your association's roster is your official roster, which BC Ringette will go by for tournaments and provincials.

3. Are the online standings official?

Data from GameSheets is compiled into the stats and standings you see on the LMRL website. However, the League Convener (LMRL's Vice President) will review all results and apply policy when determining final league champions. Note that this may be different than what is posted on LMRL website once forfeits and allowable goal spreads are factored in, for example.

4. Why aren't penalty minutes showing up on the stats next to a player's name?

When entering penalties in GameSheets, be sure to enter the player's jersey number under the # column as well as the "served" column (if it's the same player serving the pentalty, or the correct jersey if it's a different player). Then, the stats will be linked with the player correctly.

5. I'm helping to manage my team's RAMP, can I have access to the team's login information?

If you'd like access, please send an email to webmaster@lmrl.ca and copy your team's Head Coach and Manager. The webmaster will grant you access as approved by your team representatives.

6. Do I have to keep track of shots?

Yes please! Keeping track of shots will allow statistics for goaltenders to be accurate, and helps to paint a more accurate image of how a game went. Let's help out the goalies by asking a parent to track shots in the stands. There are some shot tracking apps you can download from the App store for this purpose.

7. What information do I enter on GameSheets?

All of it! Eventually, electronic game sheets will replace paper game sheets as the official record of a game. These records are important because they reflect what happened at a game, which is not only good for stats and scores, but more importantly in case of an incident that involves close review - such as an accumulation of penalties, a major injury, or an insurance inquiry. In previous years, teams simply entered scores online, now we are entering game sheets.

8. Must I enter pickup (borrowed) players on RAMP?

Yes, you must enter all picked up players on your RAMP roster. The best way to do this is to log into your RAMP team website and select "Add Player" under the "Players" area. You will be able to tick a box to make the player an "AP Player" (AP means "Affiliated Player"). If you want to show the player as part of your roster on the LMRL website, navigate to your players page, and then select your AP player(s). Then tick the box that hides their information from your roster. It is important not to delete AP players once games conclude because they are part of your official record for the season and scores and stats are based on them being in the system.

9. Why can't I add a game sheet to a previous game?

You can only add the game sheet information to past games if you are the HOME team. If you are the VISITING team, you cannot add them. You could reach out to your opponent to remind them to update their game sheet.

10. When I am trying to log in to the RAMP GameSheets app and add a team account code, it is asking for an 8-digit code. Currently I have a 5-digit code provided that isn’t accepted. What am I doing wrong?

The login and 5-digit password that you were provided by the LMRL is used to log in to the LMRL website (and not the GameSheets App). Once you log in to the LMRL website, you will find your 8 digit code, which is then used for your GameSheets App.

11. Which RAMP is the right RAMP for me to use?

There are several RAMP products available for purchase by sports clubs and many of these are used by several LMRL ringette associations including the LMRL. It's important to know which RAMP system you are using or trying to access, so that you are entering the right codes in the right places. We know this is confusing, thanks for bearing with us! Here's a run down:

  • RAMP Registration System - the database that accepts ringette registrations. Ringette BC manages this system and each LMRL association has an account, which collects information and payments. LMRL's website rosters are synced to its member association's RAMP Registration Systems.
  • RAMP Website - The LMRL has a RAMP hosted website that it uses to promote ringette, provide resources, publish league schedules, and show scores and stats - www.lmrl.ca . Some of LMRL's member associations also have RAMP websites that are able to connect to LMRL's master game schedule.
  • RAMP GameSheets App - This is an app that is downloaded to your device. LMRL is connected to GameSheets so that coaches, managers, and game scorekeepers can manage electronic gamesheets for league games.
  • RAMP Team App - This is an app provided by a team and/or an LMRL association and used to manage team attendance and communicate with players, parents and coaching staff of a team. This app is not managed by the LMRL.
  • RAMP Officials Assigning App - This is an app for use by referees and administrators, which will facilitate ref bookings, placements, and management. It's been acquired by LMRL, but is not yet in use.
