World Ringette Championships

The World Ringette Championships is the premiere event for ringette in the world! This year, the tournament runs from November 3 to 9, 2025, taking place in Lahti, Finland. Five countries will compete in three different series being coordinated at the same time.

The Sam Jacks pool features Finland and Canada's senior teams face off in a two-game series where the world champion will be crowned. The Juuso Wahlsten Pool features Finland and Canada U21 teams in a two-game series. The President's Pool sees teams from Sweden, USA, and Czechia compete for top prize. 

Alongside the world championships, the event features an international u18 development camp November 1 to 8 in Pajulahti, Finland. 

Leading up to the championship series, there are a number of exhibition games scheduled

Scores and results will be posted on the Finland Ringette website

Here's a summary of the games. Note that game times are local to Finland. 

SAM JACKS POOL

  • Nov 4 - Canada vs Finland - 4:30 pm (exhibition)
  • Nov 6 - Canada vs Finland - 6:00 pm (exhibition)
  • Nov 8 - Canada vs Finland - 6:00 pm (game 1)
  • Nov 9 - Canada vs Finland - 5:45 pm (game 2)*

* if the series is tied after game 2, a tie-breaker period of 15 minutes is played immediately following the game. 

JUUSO WAHLSTEN POOL

  • Nov 5 - Canada U21 vs Finland U21 - 11:00 am (exhibition)
  • Nov 5 - Canada U21 vs Finland U21 - 6:00 pm (exhibition)
  • Nov 8 - Canada U21 vs Finland U21 - 3:00 pm (game 1)
  • Nov 9 - Canada U21 vs Finland U21 - 1:45 pm (game 2)*

* if the series is tied after game 2, a tie-breaker period of 15 minutes is played immediately following the game.

PRESIDENT'S POOL

  • Nov 3 - Czechia vs USA - 10:00 am
  • Nov 3 - Sweden vs Czechia - 4:00 pm
  • Nov 4 - Sweden vs USA - 12:00 pm
  • Nov 5 - USA vs Czechia - 2:00 pm
  • Nov 6 - Czechia vs Sweden - 6:00 pm
  • Nov 7 - USA vs Sweden - 6:00 pm
  • Nov 8 - Bronze medal game - 11:00 am
  • Nov 9 - Gold medal game - 9:45 am

The Lower Mainland Ringette League will be cheering on Team Canada's representatives and especially those from the Lower Mainland:
